Welcome to Hometown Monument Care LLC. By booking services or interacting with our website, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Services Provided
 

Hometown Monument Care LLC provides:

  • Headstone cleaning

  • Monument resetting (including foundation leveling, corrective maintenance, lifting monuments up to 1,000 lbs.)

  • Headstone engraving

  • General cemetery and marker restoration

  • Consultation services

All work is performed exclusively by us. We do not subcontract work. We reserve the right to decline any service requests outside our capabilities, including monuments exceeding our weight limit. We are not responsible for recommending other providers or the quality of work performed by any third-party contractor.

 

2. Payment

  • Payments can be made via Square, cash, or check.

  • Payment is required in full before work begins, or at a minimum a 50% deposit at the time of booking. The remaining balance must be paid before work is started.

  • Refunds, cancellations, and rescheduling: Customers may cancel or reschedule services up to 24 hours before the scheduled appointment. No cancellation or rescheduling fees apply, except to recover transaction fees if payment has already been processed through Square or another payment service.

3. Liability and Disclaimer

  • We are not liable for pre-existing damage to headstones, monuments, or cemetery property. All work is performed with care, and before-and-after photos will be taken to document the condition of the monument.

  • Services are provided “as-is” and without warranties beyond the workmanship performed by Hometown Monument Care LLC.

  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hometown Monument Care LLC is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including dissatisfaction with results, damage to cemetery property, emotional distress, or third-party claims.

  • By booking services, the customer agrees to assume all risk associated with the service, except for damages directly caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct of Hometown Monument Care LLC.

4. Service Area
​

We provide services within a 150-mile radius of Kansas City, including both Kansas and Missouri. Extended service areas may be available for an additional travel fee, to be determined on a case-by-case basis.

5. Intellectual Property
​

All content on our website, including text, logos, and before-and-after photos of completed projects, is the property of Hometown Monument Care LLC. No content may be reproduced, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without our written permission.

6. Dispute Resolution

​

If any dispute arises:

  1. We will first attempt to resolve the matter informally.

  2. If unresolved, the dispute will proceed to mediation with a mutually agreed-upon mediator.

  3. If mediation is unsuccessful, the matter may be brought to small claims court in Kansas, where Hometown Monument Care LLC is headquartered.

By using our services, customers agree to attempt informal resolution and mediation before filing legal claims.

7. Customer Responsibilities
​
  • Customers must provide accurate and complete information about the monument location, cemetery access, and monument specifications.

  • Customers are responsible for ensuring that the monument falls within our lifting and service limits.

  • Customers must provide safe and reasonable access to the worksite.

8. Changes to Terms & Conditions

​

Hometown Monument Care LLC reserves the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updated terms will be posted on our website with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of services or the website constitutes acceptance of any changes.
